Meet the BritchamDR Young Musician of the Caribbean Award finalists and winners present and past.

BritchamDR Young Musician of the Caribbean Award is aimed at young classical instrumentalists between the ages of 12 and 26 from the Caribbean and brings together a prestigious panel composed by three British judges with an extensive trajectory and experience in the awarding of youth competitions.

“La participación de la juventud en eventos artísticos, como es el BritchamDR Young Musician of the Caribbean Award, no solo es fundamental para desarrollar la autoexpresión y creatividad de los jóvenes, sino que también juega un papel importante el en fortalecimiento de habilidades que impulsan el éxito de las industrias creativas de la región. La música y la cultura brindan la esperanza y luz que tanto se necesitan en el mundo, haciendo de iniciativas como esta más importante que nunca”.

"El Premio BritchamDR al Joven Músico del Caribe se estableció en 2018-19 con el fin de beneficiar a los aspirantes instrumentistas de todo el Caribe y descubrir la riqueza del talento musical disponible en la región. Su objetivo es brindar una oportunidad para que jóvenes músicos interpreten Música Clásica Occidental y reconozcan y celebren su capacidad. El concurso representa una asociación de colaboración entre BritchamDR (República Dominicana), ABRSM (Londres), la Universidad de Bangor (Gales, Reino Unido) y la Embajada Británica (República Dominicana)".
